Basic outlook
Why show an exhibition about the future?
We believe there's a need for more positive future images than those we
come
across in today's general media. During the 50ies and the 60ies our
belief
in the future here in Sweden was strong. The well-developed Sweden we now live in is a
result
of that optimism.
By exhibitions we will expose thoughts and ideas that can contribute to, and
create, a positive belief in the future. The physical experience is vital if
you want to challenge and question today's standard ways of thinking.
Belief
in the future IS important: it's the ideas we create today that will form
tomorrow's society. It is around our common interests that we can build the
future for us all. Together we can create a better world.
Why Sweden?
Sweden is fantastic, and we have a lot of knowledge and technical, as well
as
cultural, competence to show and share. We also use our technical heritage
and
modern competence to a greater extent than in many other countries, at the
same
time that we are willing to listen to, and learn from others.
Together we can inspire others to follow us into the future. Sweden's well-functioning, open and democratical system is well worth to show up, and
share.
Open for the public
Sweden is good at develop new technology, and to use it. Competence is high.
But our society has taken us to a daily life that many of us find difficult
to
influence and change. The decision makers feel far away, and we as
individuals - often feel neither seen nor heard.
It our firm belief that also the single individual wants to participate in
the
forming of the future. It is necessary that issues like 'sustainable
development' get a meaningful content and implementation, for all new
products
and services. 'Sustainable development' for us stands for a comprehensive
solution in finding an environmentally-focused growth in social, ecological
and economical areas.
Our aim is to create a communicative platform straight across today's
structures
