Frequently Asked Questions

How is the project financed?

During the start-up phase the Future Park is financed by a number of main financiers and co-operating partners. When the whole project is fully operational the park will be self-financed.

Which target groups are you focusing?

The park is primarily targeting the general public, companies, organizations, students, scientists and other researchers, politicians and other decision makers. The operation is aimed at both national and international customers.

What's in it for the participating companies?

Attention will be brought to new products/services, goodwill, focus groups, feedback, marketing, direct contacts with the general public, ideas. A chance for our participating partners to show that they are supporting the global environment movement (a requirement for participation).

How do you want companies to participate?

Companies have a pivotal role in this project. They participate by exhibiting and demonstrating their thoughts and ideas about future use of their products and services. The visitors will be able to test products and services and meet competent representatives from the companies.

How long period will an exhibitor agreement cover?

Exhibitors can chose between half a year (150 days) or a full year (300 days).

When will the Park be built?

Between 2009 and 2016. The first part will be opened on April 1 2012 (see Implementation)

Where will the Park be built?

The Future Park Sweden will be built in a radius of 40 kilometres from the center of the Swedish capital Stockholm.

What's your business idea?

To supply a creative meeting point - based on practicality - for companies and organizations with a 'future focus', addressing users on all levels and all groups of society, also those who wouldn't normally intermingle. The basic idea is to develop communication between all those categories and groups about how the future society best can be shaped, with the base in common interests and ecologically sustainable development.

What's unique about the Future Park?

We are creating a segment of a society, where our visitors can participate to experience a feasible future in a comprehensive perspective. In our conference areas visitors can discuss and give feedback to impressions, thoughts and ideas from the creative 'melting-pot' that the Future Park will be.

Which are your 'success factors'?

This project comes in perfect timing with what's cooking in today's society. Already now there is a great demand for those kinds of services that we will offer. Our main 'success factor' will be the network of peak competence that we have already spent years on weaving together.

What will I, as a visitor, be able to buy in the Park?

Tourist products, like souvenirs will be on sale, and also of course food and beverages.
